This work is not done alone

Every camp, lecture and school visit on this site happened because someone local opened a door, lent a room, or gave up a weekend.

Volunteer

Join a camp in Punjab

Clinicians, pharmacists, nurses and students are all useful at a camp — and so are people who can simply organise a queue, record readings and speak Punjabi. Camps run during the annual visit; get in touch well ahead so we can plan around your dates.

Host a lecture or session

Gurdwaras, colleges, schools, community organisations and employers — if you have an audience that needs to hear about addiction and mental health from a physician who speaks Punjabi, we will build the session around them.

Support

Fund a camp or a school

Medication, screening supplies, transport, school books and uniforms — the costs are small and unglamorous, and they are what determines whether a camp happens at all. Get in touch and I will tell you exactly what is needed this year.

The most useful thing you can do costs nothing

Talk about it. Openly, at home, using the actual words. A very large share of the harm here comes from delay, and almost all of that delay comes from shame.

  • Say the word “addiction” in your house before you need to
  • Share the resources page with someone who is managing this quietly
  • Ask your gurdwara or community centre to host a session
  • Stop treating a relapse as a scandal — it is a clinical event, not a disgrace

A note on donations

There is no online donation button on this site, deliberately. Needs change year to year, and it matters more that support is matched to what a specific camp or school actually requires than that money arrives in a general pot. If you would like to contribute, email me and I will tell you plainly what is needed, what it costs, and where it goes.
